A question for all creationists and proponents of intelligent design:?

If evolution is false then why would God (or the intelligent designer if you're an ID proponent) make apes, monkeys, and other "primates" other than humans? If God just didn't make them then we wouldn't be confused. So it seems that (assuming God doesn't want to confuse us) the mere existence of apes/monkeys/etc. is extremely detrimental, if not outright fatal, to your argument against evolution.
